Udta Punjab 4th Day Collection 1st Monday Box Office Earnings :- Anurag Kahyap’s Udta Punjab which hits the screens worldwide previous Friday after going through too much of controversy thanks to all the drama that took place as CBFC was not permitting to certify this movie earlier but all ends that ends well as this negative publicity has done wonders for this movie as people went with great interest to watch this thriller to find out the reason why Censor Board was rejecting this movie previously.


On day 1, Udta Punjab’s occupancy was not up to the mark and the movie managed to make about 10.05 crores. Even Taran Adarsh revealed that the movie had an increase of 11.94% growth when it comes to occupancy in Delhi and Punjab.

Especially the multiplexes went fully packed. As a result, Saturday Collections were around 11.25 crore. So by the end of first two days, Udta Punjab total collections ended at 21.30 crores.

On the third day, which was Sunday, audience rushed to the theaters with their families and the occupancy sheet got a spike on Sunday. The film did manage to crack 12.70 cr approx by the end of first 3 days.

So the movie managed to do a business of 34 crores by the end of the first weekend. The director and the cast, especially Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were outstanding with their performances and that’s what is driving the audience to the theaters.

The 3rd day income of Udta Punjab was around 12.50 crore due to which it has grossed a weekend income of about 33.80 crore because of which this movie has become the fifth highest weekend Bollywood grosser of year 2016 which is without any doubt a big achievement for this movie.
