The much awaited festival of religion has begun once again as Shri Amarnath Yatra 2015 has started from yesterday 1 July 2015 as the first batch of 1,280 pilgrims was being flagged off from Jammu base camp which is located in Bhagwati Nagar. It is a tough jorney which begins from Jammu and ends up at the Holy Cave where people will do the Darshan’s of Lord Shiva Lingam naturally made from snow. All the arrangements of this Yatra was being made by Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board as they provide travellers with all the facilities of food, bedding, water and other necessary stuff.

As you all know to reach the Holy Cave you have to go on a very high altitude so this Yatra is not for heart patients and you have to go through a lot of physical check ups before examiners declare that whether you are fit to go or not. No one below the age of 13 years or above the age of 75 years and no female with more than six weeks pregnancy shall be registered for the Yatra.
