PM Narendra Modi’s New Year 2016 Gift to UP People Delhi-Meerut Exprerssway Project Launched :- Uttar Pradesh, Meerut 31 Dec 2015 During an event organised by Central goverment in co-ordination with UP administration authorities Indian Prime Minister ‘Narendra Modi’ gave green signal to Delhi-Meerut Expressway project which cost around 7,600 crore and is estimated to be completed within next three years till December 2019.
The commuters travelling between National Capital Region (NCR) towns of Noida and Ghaziabad and border areas of Delhi face harrowing time at the congested stretch. Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari had a first-hand experience of the traffic gridlock early this year prompting him to promise a roll out of the de-congestion plan till Dasna.
The road from the Nizamuddin Bridge in Delhi to Dasna in Uttar Pradesh will be a 14-lane highway. Delhi-Meerut Expressway Project will be implemented through hybrid annuity, a new variant of public private partnership (PPP) model. This model allows no extension of time for developers and thereby eliminating delay in work completion.
Also Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that there are going to be no more interviews for junior level Central Government Jobs in Group C and D and this is goimg to be implemented to stop corruption. Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit.
At the Delhi-Meerut Expressway Project launch event the major personalities that were present includes Nitin Gadkari, Ram Naik, Ramesh Bidhuri, Vijender Gupta and Dr. Harsh Vardhan.
