Pakistani Qawwal Amjad Sabri Dead Pics & Stills Age Bio Wiki Profile Full Details :- Karachi, 22 June 2016 Pakistan popular Qawwal singer Amjad Farid Sabri was shot dead in Karachi on Wednesday in the afternoon time by some unknown assassins. They fired at his vehicle in the city’s Liaquatabad area as he was only some metres away from his residence and near the underpass that was named after his father, famous qawwal Ghulam Farid Sabri.

Amjad Sabri and an associate were travelling in a car in Liaquatabad 10 area, when unidentified gunmen fired at their vehicle, critically injuring him. The two were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed hospital immediately, where Sabri succumbed to his injuries.

Hailing from a long line of legendary qawwals, Amjad Sabri inherited the art and charm Qawwali from his father Ghulam Farid Sabri – a qawwali extraordinaire and maestro himself. A man with international fame, he had a voice rich with the emotion of a faithful devotee. Born on December 23, 1970, he started to learn qawwali at the tender age of nine years from the best teacher under the sun, his own father. A musical prodigy, he joined his father on stage to perform at the age of 12 years and people fell in love with him. That was back in 1988, and since then, he was one of the most acclaimed qawwals in the subcontinent, having performed across the world.
