Jumbo Anil Kumble Becomes Team India New Head Coach Career Records Bio Stats Full Details :- After months long wait the Pandora Box is finally opened as Anil Kumble alias Jumbo has been announced as the new head coach of team India for the next 1 year in all three formats which are One Day, Tests and T20’s as well. However he has been given a tough fight by Ravi Shastri for the Coaching job but at last he won the race.


BCCI President Anurag Thakur briefing a media Press Conference on Thursday 23, June 2016 announced the decision as the final call on this was by taken by the three musketeers of Indian Cricket who are Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman after which Anil was being given a 1 year contract to prove himself.

1. Kumble holds the record for the most wickets in a calendar year by an Indian in ODIs with 61 wickets in 1996 (which is also the third-highest total by a bowler of any nationality)

2. He holds the Indian record of taking most ODI wickets in a particular ground. He took 56 wickets in Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

3. Kumble holds the record of bowling 40850 balls in entire Test career, which is highest for an Indian and second highest overall.
