Box Office Collection Sarbjit 5th Day Business India Report :- By earning only Rs 2.09 crore on the 4th day through its India biz Omung Kumar directorial realistic Hindi film Sarbjit has made it evident the the time has come that we should give this movie title tag of a flop. Much promoted movie which features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadda as lead characters is facing a lot of difficulty to cross 50 crore mark which is disappointing.
The fourth-day box office collection of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda-starrer “Sarbjit” declined by 43 percent compared to its opening day. The film, which opened to mixed reviews, minted Rs. 16.05 crore in its four-day run.
“Sarbjit,” based on the life of Indian farmer Sarabjit Singh, who was convicted of terrorism by a court in Pakistan, had a low opening weekend, as the film witnessed minimal growth at the box office. After a low opening weekend, the film witnessed more than 40 percent drop in its Monday income.
The movie has failed to create magic at the overseas box office as well. The opening weekend overseas box office collection of the film stands at just Rs. 3.23 crore, which is lower than Aishwarya’s last film “Jazbaa.” Aishwarya’s last film earned approximately $1.2 million (Rs. 8 crore) in its opening weekend, while “Sarbjit” fared approximately $ 4,78,000 (Rs. 3.22 crore), according to Bollywood Hungama.
“Sarbjit” minted Rs. 87 lakh from the North American box office, Rs. 1.68 crore from the UAE-GCC box office, Rs. 33 lakh from the UK box office, Rs. 18 lakh and Rs. 8 lakh from the Australian and New Zealand box offices, respectively. Fiji and Malaysia circuits contributed between Rs. 1 to 2 lakh.
Meanwhile, Hollywood film “X-Men: Apocalypse,” which received dismal reviews, had a better fourth day at the box office compared to Aishwarya’s “Sarbjit.” The film minted Rs. 19.01 crore from its four-day box office run.
After improving a bit on the second and third day Sarbjit has again started declining as people are not at all looking interested in this genre of a movie as there is no masala or fighting sequences in it.
